posting about a keeper of the fire.
Mind you, I also
write about our government such as it is lately!
Chief Cauchegan was,
as far is I can tell, the first Keeper of the Fire, appointed by our first
Shechaim Unkas.
Keeping a fire in
the western part of the area and on the outside of the circle or in the center
of a 'Sacred Circle', is important to the gathering, for the most part a
'Paw-Paus'.
Therefore, a keeper
is extremely important and the reason why Chief Cauchegan was given permission
to be the only person to control all activity involved with the Sacred Fire.
