The Wolf Moon?

Wpa’nih

First my friends allow a little of why your humble teacher of my people to explain the lapse in time to write this post?

Yes this is yet another long teaching post?

Ziek has a bad ear infection,

 prayers if you are inclined,

so we traveled to Gainesville some 100 (99), miles to his doctor for treatment’ at the

Small Animal Hospital - University of Florida

To the best doctor on 'Mother Earth' my post this families opinion!

On the way back home through ‘plains prairie'

Payne’s Prairie Preserve State Park | Florida State Parks

If was Loaded with sightseers  at ‘sunset ‘another Native America folk law!

This has always been our favorite place in all of Florida because of the scenery, bird's, plants and  animals, except the cows!

'Our past crooked governor’ placed them there at, I am sure, for a price on a federally protected land both the prairie and the long leaf pines he illegally sold to be cut on this federally protected land!

O.K. Back to Wolf Moon (Wpa’ni).

Not to be confused with a Blood Moon

The name for this moon by my people is or at lease was (Wpa’ni), meaning 'Hunting Moon'!

Is far as my elders can tell, this was another of our words

(Sacred Ceremonies),  bastardized by Indians coming from the west around the 1980's?

Simple put,

and as far as yours truly can tell,

all animal would stay stationary for some time

looking at the massive yellowish moon,

just long enough

 for our warriors

to get an arrow zinging through the air!

ENOUGH SAID!?!

However;

while I have your attention,

Wolf's were also in our land along,

 believe it or not with

 Buffalo (Bison).
