Marriage of native American medicine men?

Spiritual leader

This question is always coming up on my blog site and it is one that makes me very upset.

Marriage of native American medicine men?

We have been to most if not all traditional Native American Tribal Nations through-out the years and none have advertised their Medicine men and women ever!

However, if this person wishes to know if a Medicine man or woman can get married the answer is YES?

If the question is, can a Medicine man perform a wedding ceremony, the answer is also YES?

However, both ceremonies are performed without any knowledge about this person performing the ceremony.

The ceremonies are performed by a Spiritual leader.

Creator is watching!

If this person wish's to know if a Sharman person can perform ceremonies, my answer would be that I do not know much about many religions, the least of all the pagan religion, so you must ask them.

If you are asking about the thousands of people out in Indian country claiming to be a Medicine person, do not walk, run away from them as quickly as you can!

Remember Creator is watching!

The Giveaway Circle has a tradition of giving the best that we have.

That may be a gift of time, talents or skills, or actual gifts of food and clothing.

The miracle is the letters and gifts that arrive from people that they don't know and may never meet.

I have been reading with interest and agreement this website and thought that you would like to do the same.

This is some interesting quotes from the website.

This exists with that. That exists with this. When this ceases, so does that.

The Red Path, a Holy and Powerful Path to God

God, the Great Mystery, is Ever-Present in His Nature

Many people mistakenly think that Native Americans pray to rocks, trees, the wind, fire, water, animals etc. But the fact is that in True Native Spirituality, God-The Great Unknown/Mystery is Always Present in His Nature and Elements and He is referred to and named in prayer. This is an important point...God is prayed to by NAME, even if that name is "mystery", "Great Spirit" or "Wonder", there is still A Name, A Person referred to, whether Male or Female, A Superior Being is believed there and listening to our prayers. Practicing a spirituality that prays to things, without mention of A Superior Being of any kind, is paganism...not Native American Spirituality.

There are roughly 500 different Native American Nations and each practice unique and individual spiritual traditions, rituals and prayers. We here at Sisters of Embracement could not even hope to cover a third of the different ways of Native Spirituality, but we offer what we do know about the Native Ways that some of our sisters do practice which is the Lakota Way.

I would say that my new friends are covering just about all of our over 500 tribes spiritual ways AHO?

How many clan mothers are in a tribe?

How many clan mothers can an Indian tribe have?

I must assume that the person asking may want to know about American natives (Native Americans).

In a Matriarch society like the Algonquin speaking people, the head

Matriarch ( Clan Mother) can have as many clan mothers as she wishes.

Second question.

Is the Native American flute used in ceremony?

"Yes"

However, the best way to answer this question would be from three of my native brothers answering the question from their websites.

Reservation life opens eyes for church youth.

After reading this good article there was no mention if the church was invited to or just came to this reservation.

“Because of the reservation system, American Indians have not been able to progress in ways that African-Americans have,” Shaw said.

This is a start, a very good start, next and much more important we must admit the realization that all of the “Indian Reservations” are just another name for a Jail, the crime that put them in this jail was getting in the way of the Europeans progress.

Christians have been visiting jails for years so it is good to see them, as long as they are invited, on reservations.

After reading this story it would seem that there is a church on the reservation?

As long as the church is there why not use it to have some welcome visitors every month, even in the winter?

Better yet use the church to help the people get out of jail, build alternative energy factory's and run their own power company.
