Simple is not stupid.

Teaching about Native Americans in Florida.

It is so pleasing to see this question because, many of today's group of people (called Indians) living and/or visiting Florida have changed what really should be shown to the non natives visiting the gathering throughout this state and have been doing so for many years.

The ancient indigenous people in the state long past were simple people, (not stupid just simple).

They knew what they wanted to do, looked around for the easiest way to do this and just did it, no complicated phony fanfare, just what was right for the people.

Just who are these people that were, few still are, living in the state?

Choctaw, Creek, Alabamo, Miccsukee, Apalcchee, Timuccua, Ais, Calusa, Jeaga, Tequesta, Euchee ,Chickasaw, Muskogee, Coosada(Koasati), Chatas, Sawoki, and Seminoles.

India never conquered this country.

Why so many of my people, the American Indigenous people in this country, have been and will continue to be so upset with the use of the word Indian is that we are not from India.

By using today's thinking about the use of the word Indians to describe the Indigenous people of this country, one would have to say that if not for the wisdom and tenacity of Mahatma Gaudi the people of India would today be speaking British?

If not for the Allies, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, President, Charles de Gaulle, the England and France people would be speaking German and so on throughout history.

The Indigenous American Natives are not speaking Hindi, or Islamic.

Also it must be noted that India never conquered this country, at least not yet?

How to counsel about a spirit communication?

How to counsel about a spirit communication?

Question today.

Counseling a native American who believes in spirit communication.

Anyone that is troubled by a spirit that you believe is trying to communicate with you needs to relax, take a deep breath and pray/think, why?

First let's talk about a so called bad spirits.

The Trickster, Coyote, Powwow, Devil, whatever you want to call it, has no power unless you unknowingly hand it over!

Your prayer to your Creator will always have the power to send it fleeing!

I use the word IT, because that is all it is as an IT!

A so called good spirit.

Why would a spirit wish to touch you?

Many times it was you, crossing into a place where a spirit resides, lost in between worlds.

Remember, this spirit has no reason or power to harm you in any way!

If, after reading this and other blogs and websites, this spirit is still trying to touch you, it may be because Creator loves both you and this spirit and trusts you by the power of your prayers, to help this spirit to cross on a path for home!

Turn your fear into love of Creator, thank creator for wanting to use you, open your heart and mind in deep prayer.

Give this a try, you may find, as I have, that you will receive many blessings.

Native American Tobacco!

The favorite question asked today is still about tobacco.

It should be!

You may have noticed that we have many blogs on tobacco, sage, cedar and sweet grass.

Them just type in tobacco.

Tobacco (herbs) is extremely important to our people.

So, one should not be surprised about this, we should also understand that answers,

(at least traditional answers)

are also extremely important to you because, there are so many wolf's in sheep's clothing always welling to reach into your pockets.

Never pay for native information, Never, unless it is with tobacco ( Kinnick~ Kinnick)!

Please remember that my answers to your questions will always be from what is known from my ancestors and my ancestors are of the Traditional Eastern Woodland American Native People.

That said, you may find that the answers are, for the most part, simple common sense answers to your questions.

My ancestors were simple common sense people.

Their tobacco was grown without chemicals, they did not need them!

Today our elders know that cigarettes cause cancer, even if they smoke, someone that they know and love has died a horrible death from this cancer.

Please do not insult us by an offering of a cancer causing cigarette.

Will you please use Kinnick~ Kinnick (herbs)?
Taw-but-ni (thank-you).
