Yale University

Welcome to the visitor from
Yale University

To
Smudging the correct way
02/02/2011
This is one of many posting about our ceremony of smudging.
Your University sits within the land of our ancestors so
powwows, gatherings and/or Paw-paus would apply to tribes in your area,
or at least should?
If you have questions, I would be proud to answer even if the answer is
“I do not know let’s go check it out.”
Remember I am retired to Florida?

Welcome Morrison, Iowa
Traditional Eastern Woodland Regalia
07/10/2012
Remember the words of Forrest Gump
Regalia is as Regalia was.
Each tribe has their own culture and ceremonies.

Tribes of our ancestors in the northeastern areas
as with many tribes
‘before first contact’
used regalia provided by
 ‘Mother Nature’.
However;
soon after ‘first contact’ some natives traded for
‘Euro-American cloth’.
Unlike Euro-Americans,

our ancestors
used everything
provided by Mother Nature
and
never blanketed the land with
animal and plant carcasses?

This is now a discontinued site of the

Only because Embarq was bought by another company,
a company that discontinued our website
Uncasvillage from Embarq!
So, we/I
have no way of deleting and/or controlling the sites.

Welcome to Pompton Plains, New Jersey

Traditional Eastern Woodland Regalia

As you can see from the links above,
many of the ancestors from your area
might have settled in and around our little village
after the Dutch, French, and British invaders
took their land mostly by force?
Growing up in Uncasvillage
and
my grandfathers meetings,
one could see a melting pot, so to speak, of elders.
