Native Indian American naming of baby

Spain

AQUINE (Peace to you)

Welcome to the visitor to my teaching blog posting looking for answers to their questions about

Native American naming of a baby

As you may have seen, unlike Religions, we of this tribe do not baptize a child or ask creator for a name, because no child will have the knowledge to use this name for prayer, we do start from birth teaching a child and the number one teaching is prayer.

When this child is old enough to understand, we then hold a naming ceremony at our next gathering, powwow, or Paw-paus asking creator for a blessing and a prayer name.

I am pleased to be able to teach as much as possible about my traditional ancestors.

As you may or may not see while traveling around the internet, some teaching about our people will not compute with what the elders taught as the truth, many times often taught by non native people or not from my tribe!

Please remember that all questions about the websites and blogs will be answered by Grandfather Walkingfox
