Cultural
misappropriation is a place where one culture (most often one that has an
historical record of oppressing other cultures) engages in the unauthorized
taking of some aspects of another culture.
Appreciating
Native American headdresses is great. Wearing a headdress when you have not
been authorized to wear one is not, take the headdress off, you look silly.
The photo is
an example to think about, this person is wearing an indigenous tribe from Mexico's
headdress.
The head of
some Eastern Woodland people wear Lakota headdress so is it any wonder why non
natives can get confused?
