Legoland Solar Power

LEGOLAND Florida Solar

Located over the preferred parking lot at the Winter Haven resort.

Legoland
and the

Tampa Electric company
are bringing my dream to a reality.

Back in 1986 I first wrote about the use of parking lots, under power line, on top of buildings and such.

A perfect place for unused solar panels for power.

Solar power lines
can run well below the grid power lines
and
well above the ground.

The power companies have been blocking such a sweet deal for years.

Description

The 1.8-megawatt photovoltaic (PV) array,

scheduled for completion in December 2016,

will produce enough electricity to power
approximately 200 homes.

And over 600 vehicle

It will be Tampa Electric's first large-scale solar array in Polk County.

The new system will join a

Tampa Electric installed in 2014 atop the theme park's Imagination Zone, a large, indoor attraction filled with hands-on activities for kids.
