Tobacco (Herbs) as a Traditional Native American Gift.

Because tobacco seems to be one of the most asked questions,
I will write about this today.

Please understand that when talking about
‘Traditional Tobacco Gift’,

Remember
‘Native American covers from the North Pole to the South Pole, from the ocean to
the Mississippi river’.
I write only as a traditionalist, from an Eastern Woodland Native American People.
However, if you feel that this information fits your area, it is free to use.
Also remember ‘If you are gifting something from Mother Earth’.
“Please remember that Creator gifted it to Mother Earth for free and Mother Earth gifted it to you for free”?
Therefore, tobacco is Kinnick - Kinnick (Herbs), Tobacco no one would ever enjoy smoking.
A tobacco plant is an organic herb and always included into Kinnick - Kinnick before any type of chemical is used on it ‘before or after’ picking.
Please also remember, there is nothing sacred about any chemical, they are all poison.
So, what you would be saying if gifting just cigarettes as tobacco to this person is “I am about to poison you”!
Tobacco that is used in our pipe ceremonies and as a gift is called Kinnick – Kinnick’ (Herbs).
At no time will a Traditional Native American encourage smoking non native tobacco, (poisoned by chemicals), “we use organic herbs only”!
This herb can be found almost anywhere around your area for free.
‘If it is native to your area used it as tobacco, Kinnick – Kinnick’.
(Sacred Kinnick – Kinnick), should never be sold, so make sure that no one tells you that it has been blessed and then tries to sell it to you, anyone doing this (is just trying to get money out of you)!
On Friday February 4, 2011 on this blog I wrote
"Tobacco should only be used as a gift"
Eastern Woodland American Native Tobacco as a gift offering to Creator in prayer.
How and when to present a gift of tobacco to a Traditional American native?
Every time one wishes to speak with an elder and/or honor an elder, it should be by Native American tobacco (Kinnick - Kinnick) gift.
How much is enough tobacco to present as a gift?
How much is not as important as how one gives the gift.
First, make sure that the tobacco is Eastern Woodland herb, Kinnick – Kinnick (or at least herbs grown native to Mother Earth), and then remind the receiver that this gift came from ‘Mother Earth’.
Because it did come from Mother Earth, it would be nice if it were wrapped in red. Why red?
Red represents women or Mother Earth. What is American Native Kinnick - Kinnick?
Kinnick - Kinnick is herbs collected from Mother Earth with prayer of thanks to Creator and Mother Earth!
Do not believe an outsider from another tribe telling you that we all must use their tobacco, their way; this is the way of our people.
AHO.
One does not almost hand our tobacco to an elder.
Gift the tobacco and step back, wait for directions from the elder because that tobacco now belongs to elder.

A breath of fresh air

Going to a new powwow.

A first time native gathering is a hard thing to pull off for many.
This group of people have a good start at doing one right!
After leaving the main road with all of the Saturday hustle and bustle onto
the side road to this gathering place one could feel Mother Earth.

Birds of prey were flying everywhere, I did not see an Eagle this day, but I do know that they are around.

We met and enjoyed the company of many native people not seen for several years.
While walking around I did hear them talking because, as with every new gathering there are going to be hiccups along the way and they had a few.

If a powwow wishes to grow with the help of Creator and they should, because that is what any paw-paus, powwow or gathering is about, Thanking Creator from time to time!

I believe that with the help of elders teaching this can be one of the best in the area.
One thing about life on Mother Earth, everything gets old and this includes Native Americans. As elders our ancestors expect us to become teachers.

As an elder and a Traditional Native American I try to do just that, teach!
We must keep teaching our culture before it is all lost forever.

If a group of native people advertise a planned powwow and in this powwow they plan on having a fire with a fire keeper that smudges that circle, it is not an arena it is a circle. If this group of native people plan on calling Creator down to join them in this circle they should not also invite witches and warlocks into this circle.

If you still want to grow then call it a gathering and then dance in an arena to that god!
If you cannot find a native to be your headman and head woman dancer, pull the fire out and place it out in the west like you would at a Paw-paus, Call it a gathering then native people can be smudged and the keepers of the fire can do their work, call the circle what it is ( an Arena ) and enjoy the week-end.

Wind Power

So, what was this I keep hearing about Wind generators not being good enough to become electric power for the future?
Wind Farms Survive Japan Disasters to help provide power to the Country.
On my Native American website I have been trying to tell the world~ Alternative Energy!
Now if they add Solar, Tidal wave power, Ocean Wave and a few more http://www.sachem-uncas.com/alternativesources.html
their children's, children will feel about Nuclear power as the people of this day now feel about Hiroshima & Nagasaki. A need to look it up in their history book!

Let me ask you a question?

Think carefully before you answer?

On days when you are very busy however, you are typing something,

Do you sometimes reverse some of the letters ever though you know, you know better?

You can be surprised on this answer!

Nuke disposal site in Yucca Mountain Nevada.

http://www.nevada.statenews.net/story.php?rid=43995951

1st.
Of course South Carolina and Washington want this thing reversed, no one wants
this disastrous material in or near their state. Maybe they should have been
thinking about this before building a nuclear bomb type power plant without
knowing or caring about how and where to dispose of the nuclear waste!

While we are on the subject of not wanting it in your state, every state with a
nuclear plant or thinking about building a nuclear power plant and the federal governments
nuclear military equipment do not want the highly dangerous radioactive
material around them and, they have no clue as what to do when they have a
Japanese type of disaster!
2nd.
Just because we were thickheaded enough to build this thing does not mean that
the Natives of Yucca Nevada are brainless enough to want it near them.

3rd.
I am guessing that if they believe
number one and number two, then they think that everyone is obtuse enough to
believe that this highly dangerous radioactive material will not pass through
this mountain and into our water and air at some point in time?

President Obama and his people got this one right also and the wannabe presidents got it
wrong once again!

Pleasereconsider building any more of these unnecessary extremely dangerous nuclear
devices and putting our planet in any more danger!

Think clean energy alternative energy, coal, fuel and nuclear are not clean!
