The Securities and Exchange Commission warned Native Americans because scammers will try to get some of the $3.4 billion settlement with the U.S. government.
Scams do target ethnic, religious, and the elderly groups.

Somebody pretending to be part of that ethnic group, or somebody from the ethnic group will try to fool the victim.

Both Arvel and his wife Kim lived through a recent tornado.

Kim was buried under some brick at her home.

Arvel was traveling on I-75 at the time of the storm and was able to quickly exit the interstate and narrowly escape the storm.

Arvel and Kim plan to offer a community wide gathering at the tornado site to encourage healing.

This Native ritual will take place later on in the summer.
