Where is Shechaim Ohjieshan Tallfox/ Shechaim Ohjieshan Zieks Sacred Sweat lodge?

That, my northern neighbor, is going to be crossing with 'yours truly.'

This is the one sacred ceremonial place left that will not be corrupted by gaming.

What is an Eastern Woodland Sweat?

There have been several inquiries to the whereabouts of this, the most sacred site known to our people and through the years, they all received the same answer.

If you are a member of the family, you already know, if not, why do you wish to know?

Not one has ever explained the why.

Fire-keeper 101

Welcome Helsinki, Southern Finland, Finland

To one of our postings, about the "Fire-Keeper" in our tribe.

Fire keeper
9/30/13

A Fire-Keeper in our tribe is someone trained in the teaching of our ancestors by one of the elders.

The Head Clan Mother or the Head Veteran usually chooses him/her.

The Fire-Keeper, Head Veteran and the Head Clan Mother then makes ready the 'Sacred Circle' in preparation for the visit by Kiehtan (Creator).

Tallahassee, Florida, Sacred Name

Welcome to my visitor from Tallahassee, Florida
A word of caution to you my new friend (7 visits).

While it is true that we are retired to Florida, all of our information about our culture and ceremonies come from our ancestors of Uncasvillage and/or elder members of my grandfathers, fathers, tribal meetings from all around New England and New York.

Please keep this in mind while reading our websites and blogs.

Remember, your ancestor's birthplace might have a different culture and/or ceremonies.

With this in mind, please do enjoy your time with our memories of the past, present and future and write if you have questions.
