A little over 20 years ago when we, after permission by prayer, landed into the land of ‘Peace and Beauty’!

Today because of an invasion from little known species to Central Florida most of our friends, birds, animals and plants are going or gone!

Hunan species from other places with only one thing on their minds (FUN) moved in and are quickly turning paradise into what they left from?

These magnificent birds of prey have a diet that helps keep

the rodent population under control in Florida as

they eat mice, rats, skunks, snakes and of course

the very tasty Palmetto Bug, for which I personally

want to thank every single Owl for doing~

I write for a few reasons

I admit not all that well,

still I must write because of the promise to my ancestors 

and

 I lived in the land of the decedents!

Because of my age, pushing 80 at the end of this month!

I lived in the land of my ancestors along with many of my elders.

Because in my day

history was still a major part of the teaching

in grammar schools, junior and high schools 

throughout New England.

I was helped to squeak through Junior and high school because of a book report in junior and a thesis paper in high school, both about my people and their past while living with them in the present!

My Promise?

Keep my elders and the ancestor’s lives alive in writing for their decedents reading?

If you also get to read,

 this is a plus for them.

Do you need reasons why I push history and learning?

By the first reported contact of Euro-American People, there were well over 100,000 people already on this land and here for at least 1500 years.

Soon after and because of broken treaties, European-American forced laws, wars, forced removing of our people off our land, assimilation and disease, our people became close to extinction

However my friends,

I am proof that we are still here!

We did not get the time to become 

‘Hollywood movie Indians’ 

able to fascinate the modern world,

 because our ancestors 

were far too busy just trying to survive!

This is just one reason why I keep saying

 (RED LIVES MATTER)!

Most of our people were ‘hunter and gatherer’s (planting food and/or hunting for it).

Our ancestors shifted dwellings several times year because of the weather and the need for food. We did not have the weapons, numbers or the firepower to war with the constant invasion of Europeans to our land!

And the latest slap in the face

 was the corrupt governments

 treaty with the

 ‘government controlled Indians’

 in the land.

The White Lion was a privateer ship of English manufacture that brought the first Africans to Virginia in late August 1619, a year before the Mayflower. Though the Africans were initially sold as indentured servants, it is regarded as the origin of enslaved Africans in English colonies in mainland North America.

That was a report of about 1/3 of my Ancestors!

At no time in our past

 has a president worked so hard 

at making his picks to help at making 

a true milting pot of this milting pot we call 

The United States

 until 

President Joe Biden and in only 17 day!

Can we please give him a break?

I wish to expand on the thinking 

of some of my 

‘Black’ sisters and brothers?

As a fellow descendent, 

I fully believe in ‘Black Lives Matter’!

 

That said;

 You should also know that in my days growing up in this ‘Free Country’

 My ancestor’s lives also matter to me!

 

My ‘Red Ancestors Lives’

did not matter to the 

European-Americans,

still don’t!

That’s 1/3 of my ancestors!

And

My White ancestors;

The Irish Potato Famine (Great Hunger), ruined one-half of the potato crop in 1845, and three-quarters of the crop over the next seven years.

Because the tenant farmers of Ireland

were ruled as 

a colony of Great Britain!         

They were also

 abused for years by

 the European Americans!
