A Hidden America: Children of the Plains follow up!

Today we watched the film and must say we are pleased to see that ABC's 20/20 and Diane Sawyer did better than when they were trying to sell the film.

The film showed what I have been saying, Native Americans do not want your hand outs, they need your help.

First please help the people install  a 20 foot wall between the reservation and all four booze joints, then help with a hospital, more schools and business on the reservation, all using their people.

The biggest thing I believe was not in the film.

Remove the reason why I wrote you not to mail money, food and goods because the needy will not receive any of it.

I do like the idea of sending things to schools instead of just sending and hoping it will make it through the chain to the needy!

Help for poor Reservations.

This blog has been getting many hits on my comment about the meeting between Robin Roberts and Diane Sawyer ( “A Hidden America: Children of the Plains,”)

looking for ways to send clothes and blankets for the children and they do not like what the government did.

Also many people are asking me if they should write to the children.

YES!

Please do write to the children, get you friends, family and school involved, great idea!

Be a pen pal it will be good for both of you.

Please remember, if  you mail anything to the reservation it will NEVER get to the people that need it!

I know personally that this is true!

We are now up in age with heart problems so have not been able to travel, missing that a lot, however nothing has changed.

If you want to see your goods put out at a yard sale, just walk them out to your own yard!

We do remember that many of the churches around Pine Ridge will deliver person to person.

Also remember  most of the reservations are just as poor, so you may wish to check one out close to you also.

I'll bet you can Google churches and support groups in the area, hope that this and many more blogs get people to write so that addresses can be made available to the public.

Thank you so much for your loving concern for all people on Mother Earth.
