Indigenous people not mascots

Evans Georgia

Welcome to the visitor to my opinion about state’s use of “Indians” or true Native American tribes as mascot!

I believe that the main problem with the use of tribal people and/or culture is, like with the Florida state mascot, the Traditional native people in the state did not come with or use horses, big long spears or war paint however, the modern day travelers from the plains “Indians” did!

So, as long as the collage calls them “Indians” and this guy does not mind looking so foolish, it to be OK?

I would guess that this state feels it to be OK because the Seminoles are in fact invaders to the state, infiltrating after Europeans killed off the true indigenous people.

However, with European type mascots, like the Georgia Bulldog, this mascot does not have something like a patch over an eye, killer claws while biting off an opponents leg, so the people of George are not upset, understand?
