I am marrying a Mohegan this coming October.

I want to share this with my friends, followers, and just about anyone else,

I believe it to be a beautiful love letter to someone by way of this 'Old Spiritual Teacher.'

I am marrying a Mohegan this coming October.

I am of the Jewish Faith and his family is Christian.

We talked about using a justice of the peace and having an interfaith ceremony where we will observe some Jewish customs.

(Getting married under a chuppa stomping the glass).

I really would love to surprise him with a custom from his Native American background.

Should I just approach the Mohegan Tribal Council?

Can you offer any advice?

Thank you for any help you can offer!

Left on one of the website comment section.

It would be a blessing from Jehovah (Jewish God), God (Christian), and Kiehtan the God of the Groom) to help you in your ceremony.

I have personally helped nine interfaith couples in this blessed ceremony; alas, I am now retired to central Florida and it looks like you are in Connecticut?

My advice, for what it is worth, would be to check your newspapers for any native gatherings in the winter.

Go to any powwow vender to buy?

If you were planning a cold weather wedding, he would need regalia, warm weather a ribbon shirt.

This is your choice it is not mandatory.

P. S.

He is native, we do not call our clothing a custom, and he would call them Regalia.

Just teaching sorry, once a teacher, always a teacher.

:-(

I have also had a Rabbi, a Priest and/or Clergy, doing their part of the ceremony, makes it a lot friendlier (Romantic) and good interfaith relations.

Boy, you should see the reception after!

:-)

I have been retire, health, since 1999 so I really do not have a contact up north.

I am hoping that this posting might be of some help at finding a true Spiritual Teacher for you.

If they were still around, I would highly recommend
3 Bears and/or Eddy Fisher and his wife
of the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe of Rhode Island.

3 Bears was one of my many mentors while growing up and the Fishers are good people.

It would be a blessing from Creator just to have Donald fisher (3 bears)
of the Seaconke Wampanoag tribe at the ceremony.

It looks as though my friend is no longer their chief so this is the best that I can do for now?

My followers know that my family would not send anyone to a casino for anything.

The main reason for a casino it to take your money!
