Golf Cart Man ran over "Endangered Sandhill Crane!"

were laughing until they found out that
a neighbor was reporting them!

First, he said that,

"They were messing all over our golf course!"

Then he said,

"They were destroying the golf court!"

Mind you,
Cranes only pick up bugs and do not dig!

Then he said,

"I was only chasing them with my golf cart and could not stop."

Then he said,

"I didn't mean to kill that baby crane!"

NOW!
This is what I believe happened,
if you listen to him talk to a reporter.

Both he and his girlfriend were drinking and thought that it would be fun
to terrorize the Sand Hill Crane Family!

Man ran over endangered Sandhill Crane with golf cart, neighbor says

LEESBURG, Fla. —Florida Fish and Wildlife has launched an investigation after someone ran over and killed a protected Sandhill crane on a golf course in Leesburg.

In between the sand traps are the Sandhill cranes. The protected birds share the course at Spanish Village in Leesburg, but that’s much to the dismay of one resident.

Speaking with WESH 2 News through his front door Friday, Marvin Hicks admits mowing down and killing one of the cranes with his golf cart.

Because the bird is federally protected and designated as a threatened species in Florida, Fish and Wildlife officials said he could go to jail.

Neighbor Jamie Phillips said she watched in horror with her 12-year-old son, as Hicks and another woman, chased down a family of cranes running over the smallest one because he said “they were defecating on the golf course and did not belong there,” according to Phillips.

Phillips, a bird lover, stayed with the dying crane. “I went over to check on the bird. Its neck was broken it was flopping around. It was terrible, it was very sad.”

FWC officials opened an investigation and said they're treating this seriously; saying whoever did this could be arrested, fined and charged with crimes including animal cruelty.

While Hicks said it was an accident, Phillips said the woman he was with was clapping at the time. She said both reeked of alcohol.

Hindu beliefs never made it to America


 Since first writing a post about this in a 1995 posting,
I have had many visitors from India and her neighboring countries
with not one comment?

I have tremendous respect for the

 
 'Hindu (India) & Islam (Muslim) Beliefs.'

However, many times when an Indian from India, comes to this country,

and manages a model, hotel or Inn.

Their feelings about animals seem to change drastically.

Do not take my word about this, check the internet.

While in the navy back in the 60's,

I was able to take a 'quick trip' to India.

It was a quick trip because it was a long way from my ship.

Everywhere I went the people passed animals without a blink of an eye.

While watching films about India, the people seem to love animals.

Remember, I have traveled the powwow trail many time since age 6.

In this country while you travel, hotels, inns and motels.

The manager and employees act as if your pet is going to attack them, why?

Residents living near Donald Trump’s £750m golf resort in Aberdeenshire have suffered ‘egotistical bullying,’ film-maker Bill Forsyth claims.

He compares the living conditions of Trump’s neighbours with living in communist-era Romania 

as a highly critical documentary on the development called
 You’ve Been Trumped 
is set to air on UK television for the first time this Sunday.
Forsyth was left ‘dazed and shocked’ after watching the film about proud Scottish homeowners taking on the celebrity tycoon.

The film shows residents’ water and electricity being cut off, tonnes of earth being piled up next to their homes and film-maker Anthony Baxter as complaints by locals to police are ignored.

Forsyth told The Guardian: ‘We’re watching real lives and livelihoods mercilessly put to hazard by a malign concoction of egotistical bullying, corporate muscle flexing, craven averting of gaze by national politicians and crass misreading of events by local authorities including police.’
The documentary, which is acclaimed by radical American film-maker Michael Moore, makes parallels with his Bafta-winning classic film Local Hero in 1983 which tells the story of an American oil tycoon who wants to buy out a remote Scottish village.
Many refer to Local Hero including neighbour Michael Forbes who resisted Trump’s attempts to acquire and demolish his home to expand his golf course.
Trump says on the golf course website: ‘I have never seen such an unspoiled and dramatic sea side landscape and the location makes it perfect for our development.’
But Forsyth described the documentary about the development ‘a moving depiction of human survival and dignity amidst murky doings akin to seventies Romania’.
The film-maker also described Trump as having ‘very limited utility in a sophisticated fictional drama. That’s not to deny his usefulness elsewhere, say in a comparatively primitive or cheap drama’.
On hearing that You’ve Been Trumped would be broadcast on British television, the tycoon went on a tirade on Twitter, targeting director Baxter and other ‘morons’ for criticising the multi-million pound resort.

Michael Forbes (born circa 1952) is a farmer, part-time salmon fisherman and quarry worker from near Balmedie in Aberdeenshire, Scotland who became known after his refusal to sell his land to billionaire Donald Trump who is planning to build an extensive luxury golf course complex in the area.[1][2] Forbes's farm, which is said by Trump to be in a state of disrepair,[3] has the words 
"NO GOLF COURSE" 
painted on a shed.[4]
He attracted media attention in the United States for standing up to Trump. Forbes has insisted that he will "never sell" his land to Trump despite being offered a payment £450,000 in addition to a salary of £50,000 per year for an unspecified job.[5] The plans to build the golf complex were rejected in late November 2007 by Aberdeenshire Council but were later called in by the Scottish Government, who gave approval in November 2008.[6] He has been compared to the beachcomber character in the film Local Hero.[5]
In August 2011, contractors hired by Trump fenced off a piece of land belonging to Forbes despite Forbes having the title deeds.[7]
He is also a family relative of Liam Pritchard (Professional Destiny Player and Pranker) and Cameron Pritchard.
The Trump organization is now closing in on Forbes' home and have threatened to try to use a compulsory purchase order to forcibly remove him and his family from their land. Trump claimed that Forbes' property was a slum that would spoil the view from his new hotel. Forbes retorted that Trump can "take his money and shove it up his arse."[8] The Tripping Up Trump Campaign have banded together to challenge the Trump organization on this issue.
Forbes and his struggle with Trump features in the award winning documentary You've Been Trumped, directed by Anthony Baxter and produced by Richard Phinney.[9] His portrait with his wife Sheila by Alicia Bruce is held in The National Galleries of Scotland collection.[10] In 2012, Forbes won the 'Top Scot' award at the Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards,[11] provoking Trump to criticise Glenfiddich and Forbes, calling it a "terrible embarrassment to Scotland".[12]
Forbes was also featured on the HBO newsmagazine, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.[13]
