Higganum, Connecticut

Welcome to our visitor from Higganum, Connecticut.
The land of the Mohiigans
Higganum Indian Tribes
To one of our posting about

Teaching Native American respect of elders

01/27/2012

Because this post answers the question

And

You are on the Mohiigan land,

(The Mohiigans (Maïngan – Yáw – Wolf-People).

I wish to expand a little on the fate of our people throughout the New England area, if I may be so bold.

The first people of the land that you are now living on, were the first people to go the way of the Dinosaurs!

Well, almost as far as extinction, unless you believe the government and their 'Government Indians'.

(FACT)!

The first people of the land were not Savages, at least not the way being taught in the 'White Man’s history books.'

Yes, our ancestors answered brutality with brutality.

Because, at first contact the people of the land that you are now living on, treated the new arrivals (Euro-Americans), with kindness, concern and respect, until receiving brutal treatment, stealing and abuse of Mother Earth and lies!

Remember (Indian giver)?

The first people of the land that you are now living on knew nothing of buying and taking without permission.

Our ancestors would always allow borrowing with the intent of always returning!

When the Euro-American took, the ancestors took back what was theirs in the first place!

Misunderstand of take, was not (Being a Savage), and the Euro-Americans knew this, it was just another way of getting rid of our ancestor!

(Fact)

Every Government Recognized Tribe around the land that you are living on,

There are 30 to 40 (First People of the land tribes still living on the land)!

Freedom, Maine

Welcome to Freedom, Maine

To two of our postings on two of our blogs about our people

The Moiigans (Maïngan – Yáw – Wolf-People).

This first posting is a copy of our original map of what the village of Uncasvillage looked like before first contact.

The Land of Sachem Uncas in the 1600's

The original is kept under lock because it is the only one in existence and really old!

And

A Google site for writing about our people.

Back in the 1940’s and 1950’s I remember traveling throughout the New England/New York areas with my elders, most of the cold weather gatherings, powwows and Paw-paus were held in Grange halls like your Dirigo Grange in Maine.

Up until the late 1980’s (Government Controlled Casino Indians), all Native American Tribes were recognized as “Real Live People” throughout the area!

I know that we travels all over your state.

However, I am not sure if we ever stopped at your Grange Hall?

If not it was our loss.

We were members of what we left of the Maïngan (13 Families), and traveled with elders from other tribes throughout the New England/New York area.

Wareham, Massachusetts

Welcome to Wareham, Massachusetts

To a number of our postings about our end time ceremonies?

Before we get into answering your many questions, a little history lesson if you well?

Did you know that before Europeans came to your area and around New England, there were no words like Sold, Selling, bought or Paid?

How could the Euro-Americans now own your property?

Look this up and get back to me if you wish the answer?

O.K.

To your questions

The following links and many more must include all of New England, parts of New York and some of New Jersey back before first Contact.

Remember

No (Not one of our Sacred Ceremonies), has a price tag on it, NEVER!

Kinnick-Kinnick is a welcome gift, but only a gift!
