When does a Native American become an Elder?

Welcome
Schenectady New York
To the blogger posting looking for information about
Native American who is a elder to them
Grandfather/Grandmother Native American Mohegan Elders
Once again I remind you that this is a blogger about Eastern Woodland American Natives along the eastern coast of Indian Country!
A Native American person can live until passing and never become an elder, unless that person studies the culture, learns the ceremonies and has the respect of his or her people!
Once this becomes apparent and that person reaches the young age of 70, the people show their respect by calling that person Grandfather/Grandmother.
What greater feeling for a person to be called Grandfather or Grandmother because after all most traditional American Natives call Creator Grandfather, not that we become Creator, it is only a show of respect!
