An international production starring a Puerto Rican
and a Frenchman.
A Native American tale about Jimmy Picard
"Jimmy Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian” .
Jimmy Picard a Blackfoot Indian is player by Benicio
Del Toro a Puerto Rican?
Once again one must assume that there are no Blackfoot
Actors qualified to play the part of a Blackfoot Indian?
An eager anthropologist and psychologist from France,
George Devereux (Mathieu Amalric), so one must also wonder who played the part
of the Frenchmen? An Englishmen?
"The film
has one foot in Europe and one foot in America," Desplechin told reporters
Saturday. The "A Christmas Tale" director shot the movie in the
Midwest and on a Blackfoot reservation in Montana.
Please do not
blame the French, they learned from the Americans, there are no Indian actors
in Indian Country?
