Great question by one of my long time readers

Another Great question by one of my long time readers

Thank-you for your question because as you all know, I am stumbling along as best I can and when and for sure I will, I leave questions,

I count it a blessing when anyone has a question to clear thing up, you asks?

After all remember, I would also have many questions of interest about your culture, as will I should?

As I explained to a few of my faithful readers this morning, we are following doctors directions with the love of our lives "Breanna," (prayers requested), doing what we can until Tuesday at her doctors or sooner so we are not on the computer much lately.

Now as for the question, thank-you for your help and the question.
Remember and this is extremely important.
"The post is about a "Sacred Circle,"

it is also important for me to now once again remind you that,

"the only dumb question is the one that you think of but do not ask!"

If one has any questions about my posting it is always my fault and never yours because it is my culture and my responsibility to explain completely, something that is still hard for me!

I want everyone to know that Florida as well as many states do have many "powwows" the question was once again,

"Sacred Circle?"

In this state (powwow, gatherings and meetings) like in most others are not with a Sacred Circle and this is OK.

I am always writing to protect my readers from phony wannabes just looking into your pockets with what they want one to believe is a sacred culture as in a Sacred Circle?

As stated earlier this was a Great Question!

This is why I try to always state that my answers are from my constant pestering at the knees of my elders now ancestors starting from around age 5 or 6.

Native American Sacred Circle District Schools Sarasota

Welcome Sarasota District Schools Sarasota Florida

To one of our postings on a Sacred Circle.

Native American Sacred Circle

While looking for information about Native American Sacred Circles in Florida.

I thought that I might jump in here because I am now retired and living in Florida.

A Sacred Circle is not only homed in Florida, just about all True Traditionalist use a Sacred Circle?

After all basically it is our church for prayer and a blessing from Kiehtan (you call God).

I have found since retirement that in areas like Florida, sometimes it is near impossible to tell a Sacred Circle from a wannabe native circle?

You see, so many things must take place before any native circle and most are never made public that is why wannabes have a variety of circles hoping that the public never catches on?

If you need more information we have other posting free on the internet?

Mohegan chief Rolling Thunder

Welcome Colchester Connecticut

to a number of our postings about our people while looking for information about a Mohegan Chief by the name of Rolling Thunder?

The Storey Clan in the main website.
My Family posting on Google
Chief Silver Eagle posting on Google?
Storey Clan on an old tripod website

And some old 'Whiteman Wannabe' playing a guitar in a tent?

With the one obvious exception, you did come to our sites so let's answer from my people?

The only true Chief Rolling Thunder of a traditional Mohiigan (Mohegan) Tribe was my uncle,

Uncle Russ a 'Full Blood Penobscot' and last chief, and a descendent from the royal line of Chiefs his Grandmother Chief Nettie Smith the last true chief on record.

Because he married into the Mohiigan family and was our historian on his people and many tribes north of ours, in 1938 Shechaim Ohjieshan (Vulpsune) Tallfox adopted him as a Chief Elder in our tribe.

Chief Rolling Thunder - Russell Smith - Penobscot A Penobscot/Mohegan Leader.

13 Things About the Pequot War

Were Pequot/Mohegan copper colored people

Lisa Cooper from

Douglasville, Georgia

This is a good posting from a Elementary-history-teacher from Georgia with little hands on experience about my people, not bad Lisa Cooper.

Remember, back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s when I was going to school there was a 'ton' of information on my people, then along came the
"New Age Casino Indians," and things strangely disappeared?
So she did her homework with what was still around in schools and so on.
No, to copper because our people live in the New England Cold Land.
I do not write about our wars because I hate war, plus no one has ever asked me?

13 Things About the Pequot War

While most state standards state students should be familiar with the relationship between European colonists and Native Americans very few students ever really receive an adequate background regarding the interactions between colonists and natives. Perhaps it is because the standards…..and I’m basically referring to Georgia standards……only mention the interaction not specific interactions such as the Pequot War.

I wish more teachers would spend a little of time discussing the Pequot War since it is one of the first major interactions between colonists and Native Americans. While it is mentioned in many of today’s textbooks being used in lower middle grade classrooms the war is not generally covered at an adequate level and it is usually grouped with King Phillip’s War which occurred almost thirty years after the Pequot War.

She stopped at these sites.
