Saint Kim of Rowan County

Three little "I was wonderings if you will?"

Is this the next person of questionable values to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Pope?

For the past hundred and Fifty or so years, Christians from all faiths and there are a lot of Christians faiths in the religion?

A religions that should be believing in only one God and one Son of God?

Have been into every town, village, 'Nation' and Reservation in every state in the union and in Canada.

Preaching the Christian faith!

More like demanding their faith, to Natives of the two Countries!

How many times has a pope from their religion, paid a visit to any of the

"First People of this Land?"

I except the fact that Jesus heals the sinner.

So, Jesus Christ healed Kim Davis and Pope Francis, not of her church, can visit with her, why not a visit to the people, not of her church, that she is refusing to serve at her job to serve the people?

I do believe the he, Pope Francis wants to add to not take from his flock?

Davis has been married four times to three different men.

The first three marriages ended in divorce in 1994, 2006, and 2008.

She is the mother of twins, who were born five months after her divorce from her first husband.

Her third husband is the biological father of the twins, who were adopted by her second husband, Joe Davis, who is also her fourth and current husband, he supports her stance against same-sex marriage.

By the way, why is her son Nathan, a deputy town clerk, also allowed to deny going his job?

One of Davis' twin sons, Nathan,

works in her office as a deputy clerk and has taken the same position of denying marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

What is a Thirteen Moon Ceremony?

So what is this 13 moon ceremony that so many people want in on and why all the fuss?

13 sections on a turtle (Mother Earth) back.

A story about our people, Mother Earth and Kiehtan.
Native American Country/Indian Country
Native Americans throughout Indian country call Mother Earth, Turtle Island, we call her this because Grandfather sent us to Mother Earth on Grandmother Turtles back, and a turtle has 13 sections on her back that held onto the original 13 tribes.

A 13 Moon Ceremony is an extremely Sacred part of our culture because it is the only way to keep and strengthen any tribe.

I am not at all happy to be writing this, please look at it as words from the ancestors?

We understand that people that feel the ancestors, want to belong to a tribe of caring, teaching, active, natives however, this is why it is guarded so well?

The early visitors to this land that we, 'for simplicity', call,
"Native American Country/Indian Country,"
all used a calendar with your familiar 12 months?

January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December?

We, the native people over in the Northeast did not, we had what you know of as the seasons.

Seasons

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall different name of course not necessary for this post to help my followers understand.

People of the land did not have thousands of replacement warriors or loss of females taken in war after a battle or war.

So our ancestors needed a way to keep from extinction.

So, as one can see, this ceremony was once a season in each of the four seasons.

In this season we hold the 13 moon adoption ceremony.

This is an adoption into the Royal Family, the only true traditional adoption since time?

While a male Shechaim is the leader of the people, a female is the only adoption allowed, while a female Shechaim is the leader a male is the only adoption allowed.

This rule set down by the elders helped at keeping the line from growing too large and or watered down.

Plus keeping a leader humble.

As you can see this must be carefully guarded and well documented because if the newest member wishes to continue on to become a Head Clan Mother, splinter tribes could fall under her/his rule and this could mean casinos.

Because of the "Death Bed Promise," after I cross this person can become the Shechaim.

So, we do not adopt until that person is completely familiar with all ceremonies, the culture and the wishes of our ancestors?

One cannot just say

"I want to be adopted" and a magic warn is waved over your head and 'BANG', you are adopted?

This my Followers/Friends in answer to a number of Facebook questions!

That is one reason why I spend as little time as possible on Facebook.

Who is a Native American Gate Keeper

I understand your confusion my friend!

Who is a Native American Gate Keeper?

It must once again be time for Snowbirds coming south for retirement?

This word (Gatekeeper) comes up many times so this time I will answer in my usual long winded posting?

Every once in a while I get questions this time of the year like this one.

Always remember that there was, is and will never be a Gatekeeper in a true traditional "Eastern Woodland" Native American Ceremony.

Today we have Arena directors?
Gatekeepers ?
and so on
in powwows in and around the east-coast?

In our ancestors time on Mother Earth in the New England Area, the leader was known as the Shechaim newer name (Sachem).

However, from the beginning this leader has always placed a

"Head Clan Mother"

in charge of tribal matters with discretion of course.

This Head Clan Mother often split the tribe into clans with at least one of her clan mothers at the head of that clan, depending on how large the tribe was?

In each clan would be a military person (Warrior), this person was always in charge of the entrance in the east of a circle,

and the west at Creators seat, (another posting)?

The word (Gatekeeper) is an occult word that came into far too many native tribes in the last 30 or so years.

The word Arena Director came in from rodeos, caravels and circus?

In the ancestors days on Mother Earth gathering were called Paw-Paus.

Followed by a word change to protect the Sacred Culture, of Pow-Wow.

A Warrior (Head Veteran) would be at the door of gathering inside an enclosure and in the east at Paw-paus and powwows.

An Elder Head Veteran is the person or persons that would stand guard at the opening of the village while warriors were away hunting of in battles.

The Head Veterans job is to, with the help from the Fire keeper and assistant, smudge, in the northeast with Kinnick-Kinnick, in the east coast areas, sage, herbs and sweet grass including Kinnick-Kinnick.

Next would be to lineup the Sacred Staff, flags and the dancers.

When all this is complete signal the MC to start Grand Entry.

A Head Veteran should not leave sight of the east incase dancers have questions without a back up like for instance the Fire keeper.

In a true traditional gathering, powwow, (Paw-paus), both must also keep the smudging, cleaning, clearing and the fire ongoing in the west.

For this site information!
Serra Is No Saint’ Day of Mourning in San Francisco
Nanette Deetz 9/25/15

While Pope Francis was proclaiming Junipero Serra a Saint in Washington, D.C.,

California Indians continued their protest in the form of a prayer ceremony in opposition to this decision.

Some 200 people attended the event organized by community leader

Corrina Gould (Chochenyo Ohlone), Wicahpiluta Candelaria (Rumsen Ohlone/Apache), and Indian People Organizing for Change,

this ceremony provided a place where California’s tribal members could grieve Serra’s canonization, speak historic truth,

and
pray for the ancestors buried beneath the streets
surrounding Mission Dolores in San Francisco.

Know this my brothers and sisters,
"I was with you in heart, spirit and prayer!"

The Roman Catholic Religion

If the Pope truly believes that the Canonizing is the right thing to do, why not do this in one of the Missions in California?
Why Washington?

The Roman Catholic Religion
Déjà vu///Karma
If the Spiritual leader of the largest Spiritual beliefs in the world can keep (ignoring)

one of the now smallest Spiritual beliefs in the world)

Native Americans.

Shouldn't it be OK to ask a few questions about his Spiritual beliefs?

Let's start with,

What if I invited all of my faithful followers and all of the 'native' followers in Rome to meet me in Vatican City
for a Native American Adoption Ceremony in the Sistine Chapel and make them Saints of our people?

Would Pope Francis and his Catholics followers be OK with this?

If so, will my friends and followers get your coast and flying shoes on!

Or
Stop this 'rude-madness and spend a little time by, texting, emails, phone or media, something, anything, face to face would work fine and lets hash things out?

Remember, the pope's remembrance of Rosh Hashanah the Jews New Year and the kindness to the Muslim people and as well he should?

And yet he and his followers are 'hell bent on rudely" stepping on the Native American Ancestors by making a saint out of a shrine builder?

If this does go through they we all should do a little investigating on the Roman Catholic Church?

We all know who the leader of the Christian Religion (Church) is or should be,

(The Trinity)!

What the question now should be is,

"Who was the first leader (Pope if you well) of the Roman Catholic Religion

(Church)?"

The Roman Emperor St. Constantine (1) the Great.

The Christian church that Constantine promoted was a mixture of true Christianity and Roman paganism.

In the New Testament,

there is no mention of the papacy,

God is the only leader?

worship/adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary,

the perpetual virginity of Mary,

the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix).

"Jesus Christ and only Jesus Christ under orders from father 'God' is the way, the truth and the light!"

"Mary, no longer a virgin wife of Joseph with many children, is not the Mother of God!"

Petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers?

"All prayers should go to God and blessings come from God."

apostolic succession,

the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments,

infant baptism,

confession of sin to a priest?

"Confessions(prayer) to your God."

purgatory,

indulgences,

the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture.

"The bible, the Christian word from God, is the only Authority over all creation!"

Question: "What is the origin of the Catholic Church?"

The Roman Catholic Church contends that its origin is the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ in approximately AD 30. The Catholic Church proclaims itself to be the church that Jesus Christ died for, the church that was established and built by the apostles. Is that the true origin of the Catholic Church?

On the contrary. Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus or His apostles.

In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship/adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture.

So, if the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in the New Testament, what is the true origin of the Catholic Church?

For the first 280 years of Christian history, Christianity was banned by the Roman Empire, and Christians were terribly persecuted.

This changed after the “conversion” of the Roman Emperor Constantine.

Constantine provided religious toleration with the Edict of Milan in AD 313, effectively lifting the ban on Christianity.

Later, in AD 325, Constantine called the Council of Nicea in an attempt to unify Christianity.

Constantine envisioned Christianity as a religion that could unite the Roman Empire, which at that time was beginning to fragment and divide.

While this may have seemed to be a positive development for the Christian church, the results were anything but positive.

Just as Constantine refused to fully embrace the Christian faith, but continued many of his pagan beliefs and practices, so the Christian church that Constantine promoted was a mixture of true Christianity and Roman paganism.

Constantine found that, with the Roman Empire being so vast, expansive, and diverse, not everyone would agree to forsake his or her religious beliefs to embrace Christianity. So, Constantine allowed, and even promoted, the “Christianization” of pagan beliefs. Completely pagan and utterly unbiblical beliefs were given new “Christian” identities. Some clear examples of this are as follows:

(1) The Cult of Isis, an Egyptian mother-goddess religion, was absorbed into Christianity by replacing Isis with Mary. Many of the titles that were used for Isis, such as “Queen of Heaven,” “Mother of God,” and theotokos (“God-bearer”) were attached to Mary. Mary was given an exalted role in the Christian faith, far beyond what the Bible ascribes to her, in order to attract Isis worshippers to a faith they would not otherwise embrace. Many temples to Isis were, in fact, converted into temples dedicated to Mary. The first clear hints of Catholic Mariology occur in the writings of Origen, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, which happened to be the focal point of Isis worship.
