There is a recurring problem in Indian country

Time again to make an enemy!
Claiming Indian Heritage Does Not Make It So
Every time a non native wishes to write about anything native they go to a reservation, why?
Because they have a captive audience, never mind the thousands of other tribes, this is the easier way to do their job!
The following so called problem is a relatively new one.
Some ( 30, 40 years now)that did not exist until Plains Indians allowed non Indians to corral them into Jails (reservations).
It gets old real fast needing to tell closed minded people to go back to school and study our history!
This article is written from a Lakota perspective and we all know how I feel about "the Lakota perspective"!
Long before any plains people knew what a Whiteman was, we in the east were being slaughtered, assimilated and pushed west by these Whiteman so, do not tell us that we do not exist just because you and your masters, the Whiteman, say so, WE ARE HERE!
The media and the plains Indians, not all just most, must be taught the full history of Indian country.
Once they do this they will need to finally admit that there are many more American Natives in this country other than those poor mistreated little old plains Indians.
We need to get these people into the real world!
Native American Tribes, like many non native countries did not use so many rules just to except their people as their people, this government is making up the rules and if you want to be able to be supported by this government you must obey their rules!
None of this make you a Native American, your ancestors made you a Native American, Period!
If you think that this is harsh, you should have been a fly on the wall before many corrections!

Only one took the time to learn this prayer.

They should never be alone

His ancestors invited the family to help in a crossing.
Few were interested in learning the reason why?
Only one took the time to learn this prayer.
Setting aside religion, byes, prejudice, beliefs and non beliefs one must,
Honoring the Passage of Death.
A Native American Perspective on Crossing Over.
Although at the time of death, our, and many religions, know that a person is with their god (we call Creator).
Many times this death is a very confusing time for the body and the family members, not their spirit.
So, many Native American tribes ask their Traditional Spiritual Teacher to pray an extremely sacred crossing ceremony.
This ceremony is by no means a worship of the evil spirits running around Mother Earth, it is for the comfort of the body and a helpful understanding about the ways of our people, the true American natives of the land.
Without a group of students, and/or family members, from a native American tribe and a willingness to learn the correct ways of their people from a qualified Traditional Spiritual Teacher, their culture and ceremonies will soon go the way of the vast majority of wildlife on Mother Earth (Extinction).
The many native American family members in any cemetery, some with and many without markers deserve to have their relations come and fuss over them, without your ancestors, you would not be. AHO?

Native American domestic violence prosecutions

Native American states within the United States of America?
Native American domestic violence prosecutions
Maybe now people will stop and listen to reasons why we must do away with reservations and get back to the, after the civil war approach, Native American states within the union of the United States of America?
Although any reservation is just a jail for indigenous people and should mean that this government can do as it pleases to their jailed people.
A state will give all American native peoples rights that they deserve and laws to better control criminals!
Judge sentences man whose case set standard for Native American domestic violence prosecutions
North Dakota, Roman Cavanaugh Jr. was convicted of domestic abuse offenses in March 2005, April 2005 and January 2008, all in tribal court. The federal charge involves a July 2008 incident in which Cavanaugh was accused of slamming his common-law wife's head against the dashboard of his car and threatening to kill her.
In the past, we've had to wait until the domestic violence reaches the aggravated assault stage, which means that someone has been seriously, seriously injured

People need to put their brain into gear before they open their mouth!

Not to be out done by Mitt Romney's open mouth and stick your foot into it, once again the Republican party has allowed John McCain in the media.
John, you cannot look at a person and tell if they have 1/32 blood from any indigenous peoples!
Did he know while poking fun that there is about 10 so called Cherokee tribes?
If this old sailor has been is the best weapon that the Massachusetts republican party and U.S. Sen. Scott Brown can come up with to save his job, U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is in serious trouble!
Thanks to narrow minded people like our senator McCain, people like Elizabeth Warren have been beat up and put down for years, she never claimed to be a member of any tribe, she just claimed to have some native American blood.
People like Senator McCain need to put their brain in gear before you open your mouth!

Have you ever traveled the Bible Belt?

Been on the road for awhile traveling around this bible belt and found another main reason why religious people are having so much trouble converting us, the American Native people, over to their religion!
Notice that I said another reason and not the only reason.
I spent many hours talking with some of these religious people.
It would seem (in fact one can tell) that they have no use for any race or color other than white, and then only a few of them.
I was beginning to wonder if it might be because they do not even like themselves?
They go to church at least once a week and bible study at least twice a week, then these people tell racist jokes and look down their noses at everyone and will run you over getting out of the church parking lot!
While in a conversation and try finding out just where they do stand, you will get,
I ONLY BELIVE IN GOD!
Makes one wonder just who their god really is?
Many of these people believe in one god, some call their god by a different name however, one god.
Many Native Americans also believe in only one god, many call their god by different names however, one god.
If we will only take a moment to communicate in a discuss of these names in a dialogue who knows, we may even find a way to just get along, what do you think?
It is so sad to find out that human nature demands that you are always right and everyone else is always wrong.
AHO?
