"Does the Medicine Man run Indian ceremonies?"

Medicine man runs Indian ceremonies

Welcome to the visitor from the City of Corbin Kentucky

To three of our postings

While looking for, one would guess,

The Elder in charge of a Native American Ceremony?

Question

"Does the Medicine Man run Indian ceremonies?"

Actually it is not the Medicine Man or Medicine Woman.

In our tribe and mind you that you did come directly to all three of our posting so you have been here before?

You are always welcome and thank you for your question my friend.

The leader of the tribe, in our case the tribes through-out the Eastern Area, is the Shechaim Ohjieshan Chief.

This person assigns the particular ceremony to the person in the tribe better trained for that particular ceremony, and yes for the most part it would be the Medicine Man or even the Medicine Women.

Allow an explanation/

Tribes west of the Mississippi river were known to have leaders called

"Chief"

I believe that the longer the feathers on ones headdresses, the more important the chief?

However, tribes and I am only talking

'True Traditional Native American Tribes' east of the Mississippi river like the "MOHIIGANS!"

Leaders are called ' Shechaim' or (Shechaim Ohjieshan Chief).

The tribal leader.

As you may have noted lately, time and people pollution, has changed some tribal families in the east so that the leadership has changed to suit the few rather than the many, just as it has in this government in the United States of America?

In this Shechaim Ohjieshan Chief society, responsibility of a job, such as say a 'Naming Ceremony' would be turned over to the best qualified elder, this person was called 'chief' this chief could be female as well as male depending on the ceremony and qualifications and until the designated job was completed this chief answered only to a Head Clan Mother or the Shechaim Ohjieshan Chief.

Once the designated job was completed the title of chief also ended, this was a way to help keep tribal members humble as chief.

Also

Any 'Job' dealing with herb and for sure herbs ending up on the Medicine-Mans table is assign to the Head Clan Mother who in turn assigns the most qualified Clan Mother in her charge for this particular job or correctly stated 'Ceremony."

Called Medicine Women as well as chief?

How to Talk to My Kindergartener About Race

Only one way to clean up the Race Card

Stop having a Race Card?

I grow up a Mohiigan I guess that was my "Race Card?"

Stay-at-home mom, feminist, wife

Karen Cordano wrote,

"I Don't Know How to Talk to My Kindergartener About Race?"

T included a classmate in a drawing at school.

He wrote the child’s name and put a label beside the picture.

Black.

Another student informed the teacher who took T aside and explained they do not use terms like white and black at school because those words can hurt feelings.

His teacher assured me he was using the word as a descriptor and not out of meanness.

I get it. And I don’t get it. And I get it.

Karen

Stop having a Race Card?

A child does not know anything about race or color this must be taught!

Karen Cordano

Karen, you and your husband need to take your family to a non-White family and become

"Good Friends."

Don't know any?

Find some.

I truly believe that any non-African-American for instance, that shows up at a African American Church and asks permission to join the service will be purged from the race card for life.

I grew up in a mixed town, if you will, and my friends were all great friends,

get it?

As a youngster a few of us would spend time on the weekend outside the window or door to a small church enjoying the music until one day we got caught.

This old man invited us in to visit and from that day on I was hooked on friendship, still did not know about a Race Card until I moved south, not even while I was in the navy although I found out years later that it was there and even on my two ships?

People did not tech me about color and or race!

People taught me how to enjoy friendship.

Question from a Friend/Follower

"Several times of late I have read the statement that your people never ask for payment for a ceremony.
There are so many that conduct sweat lodges and healing ceremonies that do charge big bucks.
I was pleased to learn that this was not the way of your people."

I will go another step further my friend, our people are not the only true traditionalist people's not charging for a prayer!

All "Native American Sacred Ceremonies" are a prayer to our Creator for a Blessing from our Creator.

How much does getting ready for a prayer in reality really cost?

Therefore
If a person is holding any

“Native American Sacred Ceremony”

and charging any price, why are people going to, reading about or even watching?

As stated in posting about ceremonies and our culture, Kinnick-Kinnick

(herbs sometimes called tobacco)

is always appreciated however, Never demanded!
This person is ‘NOT’ a true traditionalist therefore the ceremony is ‘NOT’ a

“Native American Sacred Ceremony.”
It is an attempted at blasphemy against everything that a true traditionalist believes and  against our “Creator of Everything!”
This is a person trying to get people to worship an inferior god and taking your money to boot!
Think about this if you will?
Native American Sacred Ceremonies are held by Native Americans.
All Native American Sacred Ceremonies are a Prayer to our Creator while looking for a Blessing from our Creator!
How much does getting ready for a prayer in reality really cost?
Thank-you so much for your question, hope the answer helps?

Remember this Mike Huckabee, one cannot worship both Gods,

"if you Love one you must Hate the other!"

Slocan British Columbia Canada

How much tobacco offering to elder for inipi
Welcome Slocan British Columbia Canada

Although you are quite a ways up north from my people, your people and my people did travel north and south long before someone places a "Border" between our people?

I would like to step out on a limb, so to speak, and give you our answer to your question if I may?

Remembering that our people used herbs now called tobacco long before chemicals were placed into modern tobacco just to get people addicted to smoke and we call this our tobacco (Kinnick, Kinnick) or a group of herbs?

OK

How much tobacco offering to an Elder presiding over a "Sacred Sweat (Sweat-Lodge) Inipi?

First, one must never, never be forced to pay for any true traditional ceremony in our culture, never.

That said, this Elder more than likely uses a lot of his Kinnick-Kinnick through the year so a pouch before the ceremony, any ceremony is always appreciated my friend.

AND

"Shechaim's tongue twister for the month?"

Lower fuel cost/less Alternative-fuel vehicles

Are we ready for
"Shechaim's tongue twister for the month?"

Among the trickle-down effects of cheaper gas prices are lower sales totals for alternative-fuel vehicles.

Which in turn have forced automakers to slash prices on these vehicles.

On alternative-fuel vehicles in general, for that matter and it is simply that gas prices have been getting cheaper and cheaper.

Prices of alternative-fuel vehicles to come down because gas prices are coming down.

Which means that alternative-fuel vehicles are not selling.

Which also means that alternative-fuel vehicles are way over priced.

Why are that over priced?

Because manufactures do not want you to buy alternative-fuel vehicles.

Why is it that they do not want you to buy alternative-fuel vehicles?

M O N E Y!
Well then, why do manufacturing company make alternative-fuel vehicles?

Because people do buy alternative-fuel vehicles.

Again.
It is always about the "Money!"

Still they keep the price of an alternative-fuel vehicle higher than a fuel vehicle to keep most of us buying their fuel guzzling vehicles!

Why?

Oil and Gas companies want you to keep buying their fuel and fuel products.

It cost more to build a fuel guzzling vehicles therefore they can justify selling it to you for much, much more.

Alternative-fuel vehicle's also do not need an oil change and have much less wear and tear therefore no more crooked, so called 'Free' 28 point inspection, on your dine just to find things to get you back into their garage!
