I am marrying a Mohegan this coming October.

I want to share this with my friends, followers, and just about anyone else,

I believe it to be a beautiful love letter to someone by way of this 'Old Spiritual Teacher.'

I am marrying a Mohegan this coming October.

I am of the Jewish Faith and his family is Christian.

We talked about using a justice of the peace and having an interfaith ceremony where we will observe some Jewish customs.

(Getting married under a chuppa stomping the glass).

I really would love to surprise him with a custom from his Native American background.

Should I just approach the Mohegan Tribal Council?

Can you offer any advice?

Thank you for any help you can offer!

Left on one of the website comment section.

It would be a blessing from Jehovah (Jewish God), God (Christian), and Kiehtan the God of the Groom) to help you in your ceremony.

I have personally helped nine interfaith couples in this blessed ceremony; alas, I am now retired to central Florida and it looks like you are in Connecticut?

My advice, for what it is worth, would be to check your newspapers for any native gatherings in the winter.

Go to any powwow vender to buy?

If you were planning a cold weather wedding, he would need regalia, warm weather a ribbon shirt.

This is your choice it is not mandatory.

P. S.

He is native, we do not call our clothing a custom, and he would call them Regalia.

Just teaching sorry, once a teacher, always a teacher.

:-(

I have also had a Rabbi, a Priest and/or Clergy, doing their part of the ceremony, makes it a lot friendlier (Romantic) and good interfaith relations.

Boy, you should see the reception after!

:-)

I have been retire, health, since 1999 so I really do not have a contact up north.

I am hoping that this posting might be of some help at finding a true Spiritual Teacher for you.

If they were still around, I would highly recommend
3 Bears and/or Eddy Fisher and his wife
of the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe of Rhode Island.

3 Bears was one of my many mentors while growing up and the Fishers are good people.

It would be a blessing from Creator just to have Donald fisher (3 bears)
of the Seaconke Wampanoag tribe at the ceremony.

It looks as though my friend is no longer their chief so this is the best that I can do for now?

The main reason for a casino it to take your money!

Indian quote on the 4 corners

Welcome Carbondale Illinois

Please take your escapee, our governor back?

Please?

I know,

No Way!

Thank you for your visit to one of our posting

While looking for information about the four corners, in our tribe it is a ceremony.

Like with Florida, Illinois tribes were forced out of their territory by the invading government and many tribes floated onto the land.

It just so happens that many of our people over in the east also landed there after the invading government forced them west.

Therefore, I am sure that some of those tribes have ceremonies at least close to what we still do over in the east.

Winnebago and Shawnee tribes come to mind.

Native American prayer to the 4 corners

Four Directions (Shehukte Kina kihouk) is not the same as four corners, four directions is speaking about a balance of good and evil.

Please keep in mind that we have never and will never go into the many sacred ceremonies in writings because they are Sacred Ceremonies.

The Four Corners is one of the many ceremonies performed by the Head Clan Mother with the blessings of Creator and direction of a Sachem Chief.

At that point Head Clan Mother is in charge of how, what and who within the circle.

This ceremony could be for weddings, births, deaths, naming, and many more.

Once the Sachem is informed about a ceremony, the Head Clan Mother arranges a circle with her clan mothers in a four-corner position depending on which ceremony she needs to perform.

Everything in an American Native's ( Native American) culture is with the circle of life or within a circle, Mother Earth, Powwow circle, Paw~ paus circle, Fire circle, Prayer circle, even our Alters are in a circle.

Native American Evil Spirits

While looking for Native American malevolent spirit?

I have to admit, you had me stumped for a few minutes.

What is (Malevolent) and what trip admits to this spirit?

So, off to the internet we go.

I now know why I have never heard of this thing and can say with 100% confidence that No!

Not in this tribe!

Come to find out that this is Latin language of the literature of the Middle Ages, usually dated A. D. 700 to 1500 in Rome!

I am glad to read this because our people have enough problems surviving in this one sided Euro-American world?

Kidding aside fear not my friend, good spirits just want to leave and "Bad Spirits" cannot harm you unless you allow them to?

Try this one?

And this one

While speaking about, in his words,

However, are they in reality fighting back against this militant group of butchers that are destroying the worlds views of this religion?

Prophecy, in religion, a divinely inspired revelation or interpretation. Although prophecy is perhaps most commonly associated with Judaism and Christianity, it is found throughout the religions of the world, both ancient and modern.

In its narrower sense, the term prophet (Greek prophētēs, “forthteller”) refers to an inspired person who believes that he has been sent by his god with a message to tell. He is, in that sense, the mouthpiece of his god. In a broader sense, the word can refer to anybody who utters the will of a deity, often ascertained through visions, dreams, or the casting of lots;
