Native American Occult.

If The Occult- Witches, Warlocks, Witchcraft, Wicca, Sorcery and Paganism beliefs do not belong in Traditional Eastern Woodland Native American gatherings, how did they get their?
The Irish, Scottish, and Wales people came to Indian country they brought their religions with them.
The Irish Scotland and Welch are not Native Americans.

The Vikings came to Indian Country from the east and landed on the northeastern shores.
These people brought their knowledge and beliefs along with them.
They are not Native Americans.
Viking beliefs and myths.
The Scandinavian beliefs developed out of the original common mythology of the Germanic peoples which originated in, and developed from, India and the Vedas, Brahminism known as Keralaiyers.
Brahmanism is about sacrificing to many gods.

The Mayans, Incas and Aztecs all came from Mexico they are natives however, none of them settled into the Eastern Woodland area.

The Mayans were found in southern Mexico and northern Central America.
Mayan religion worship  the gods of sun, rain and corn with rituals of human sacrifice.

The Incas spread through what is now Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile.
The Inca worshipped the dead.
They practiced daily human offering and sacrifices.

The Aztec religion was dominated by human sacrifice.

Native Americans believe in Creator and all of the creations
without sacrificing anything.

Native American's Take back our Ancestors.

Where are the Shawnee people? Cahokia is said to be their ancestors.

Where are all of those rich Casino Indians?

Still plowing over our past one village at a time.

The Europeans are about to build a bridge by plowing over the first indigenous village in Indian country.

It would seem that the only people trying to lessen the blow are non native archeologists?

First came the St. Louis Stockyards, then came a meatpacking plant, now they will completely destroy the land with highway 70.

(Friendship Pipe or Peace Pipe)?

Walkingfox great, great grandfather's friendship pipe awakened by his grandfather.
Peace Pipe (Friendship Pipe)?
An Eastern Woodland American Native Pipe.
We do not make the stone pipe used out west, nothing wrong with that pipe it is just that our ancestors had no contact with their Calumet (Pipestone).
Besides have you ever tried to make anything out of a New England rock?
Give it a try without modern tools.
There is no proof that any Eastern Woodland Native American person ever traveled to Pipe Stone.
Remember, for most of their existence they did not even have horses and water goes north and south not west.
(Pipestone National Monument.)
That is until recently with train, plane and automobiles.
So it begs to differ as to why so many so called natives in New England, or anyone east of the Mississippi river would carry and swear by a Catlinite Peace Pipes?
Makes you wonder just who are the real Native Americans throughout this area?
We have Friendship and Sacred pipes!
(Traditional Eastern Woodland American Native Way).
While it may still be true after everything that has happen to the Red Man in our past by Europeans and Hollywood, some of the western tribes might still make a Peace pipe.
We do not!
We do however make a friendship pipe; we also make our own type of sacred pipe.
How to make a Native American pipe?
Native Americans, at least in the east coast, make friendship pipes.
The first of our pipes were made from plant life.
The Cat o nine tails like the dandelion is not only good food and medicine the ancestors knew of many uses for the stems also.
This plant however, is protected in many areas, because while in the wild it also helps control the water ways.
A Tribal Clan Mother can pick this plant and use it from roots to flower.
The flower can be cooked with the three sisters, the roots are used with Kinnick~ Kinnick and for medicine.
The stems were user for some of the crafts and our Friendship pipes.
Native Americans in the east were making friendship pipes for their ceremony's long before first contact (the time when Europeans first showed up on our shores).
Squash plants stem corn cob friendship pipe were also used to make pipes.
The Squash plant and the Corn cob must be completely dry, the use of a porcupine needle to clean out the stem, a sharp stone or bone will clean out the cob however, one would now use a modern tool of the trade.
Anyone in the tribe can make these pipes however, before they could be used in sacred ceremonies it had to be properly awakened by a Spiritual leader.
The pipe is awakened by this leader by correctly presenting it to Creator for permission and a blessing.
Calumet (Pipestone) peace pipes are Plains Indian pipes!
INDIAN CALUMET: The Pipe of Peace
By Christopher Nyerges
We have been to Pipestone.
Pipestone National Monument.
However, as an Eastern Woodland American Native, I never touched the stone until after leaving, (when gifted).
How did Native Americans clean their pipes?
If this is at an Eastern Woodland American Native Ceremonial pipe, the pipe is never cleaned as a European would clean a pipe, a pipe keeper will either take the pipe out or pass it to a trusted student of the pipe, to Mother Earth and by way of our sacred ceremony, give the tobacco (Kinnick~ Kinnick) back to her, Mother Earth.

Evil spirits Coyote, Trickster and Powwows.

Once again not all spirits are evil!
Some spirits are wandering around looking for help on ways to the path home to our ancestors, these spirits were in the wrong place at the wrong time, they will never hurt you.
Please seek ways to help these spirits find and travel on the journey back to Creator with our ancestors.
This is a follow up on my April 25th blog article on Evil spirits Coyote, Trickster and Powwow spirits.
In today's thinking a powwow is a place for Native Americans to invite everyone to come, enjoy a day a weekend or a week in fun and games.
However, Native Americans, at least, throughout the New England area, were handed down from elder to elder, from a time just after first contact, the knowledge about the real Powwow, an evil spirit sent to the people by the Trickster/Coyote, non natives call the devil.
The Evil spirit Trickster and his sub spirits will do anything that a person allows them to do to take prayers from them ( the people ) to Creator.
Because of the abuse, sometime with death, from non natives looking for a way into our Paw~paus, natives changed the name to powwow, then allowed everyone in to this non sacred ceremony.
A little more in-put.

What is Kinnick~Kinnick?

Kinnick~Kinnick are Native American particular herbs, collected by tribal clan mothers around that tribe, to be used in future sacred ceremonies of American Native people.
A Native person may sell these herbs, as long as that person makes it perfectly clear to the buyer, that it has not been blessed by Creator and would not be considered sacred!
Remember, only Creator can bless anything!
If someone claims to have blessed your herbs, give them back for an exchange, they have been polluted!
Once this herb Kinnick~Kinnick has gone through the ceremony and is sacred, if passed to another, it must be, by given freely!
Sage and Sweet grass could be used with Kinnick~Kinnick as long as they follow the above statement.

Please remember, there is nothing sacred about any chemical, they are all poison so, what you would be saying if gifting tobacco to this person is, I poison you!

My ancestors were simple common sense people.

Their tobacco was grown without chemicals, the ancestors did not need them!

Today our elders know that cigarettes cause cancer, even if they smoke, someone that they know and love has died a horrible death from this cancer.

Please do not insult them by an offering of a cancer causing cigarette.

Will you please use Kinnick~ Kinnick (herbs)?

Why put this my information on the net?

Many of my tribal clan mothers asked me " Why put all of my ancestors teachings on my free blogs for people to steal as their own knowledge"?
For years now while seeing Indians and others around Indian country using the teachings from our elders now ancestors as their words of wisdom, it would hurt me and interfere with my praying. However, a few days ago in the supreme wisdom of Grandfather ( Creator) while deep in prayer, the words came to me, " my son, where do you think all of your ancestors received their teaching"?
" This knowledge that I have freely given to you through your elders was meant to be freely given and shared by all, so all can use it for the good of my creations".

Native Americans and the Owl?

The Owl is sacred outside of Indian country,
the Owl for instants is the Roman and Greek goddess of learning.
The Native Americans of some tribes look to the owl for wisdom, insight and knowledge.
A few tribes of modern times say that the Owl is evil.
My people, from the Eastern Woodland people in the New England area, look to all of the Owls as protectors sent from Creator.
The Owl will alert you of coming danger while peacefully singing you to sleep after dark.
The Owl helps keep down the snake, rodent and insect population which will help with keeping the environment free of germs and diseases.

A phony Guru.

What is a Guru?

Guru is the God, say the Hindu scriptures.

http://hinduism.about.com/od/gurussaints/a/guru.htm

The word Guru is a Sanskrit word meaning, religious teacher or saint.

http://www.sikhs.org/10gurus.htm

The word Guru in American Native?

There is no such word.

Verdict in self-help sweat lodge trial stirs reaction among Native Americans

Native Americans who hold fast to rituals passed on by their ancestors,

the trial of James Arthur Ray mattered, he was convicted of negligent homicide.

Not strong enough however, a non native tried in a non native court, I'll take it.

Guru, Trickster, Coyote, Powwow.

You can fool some of the people all of the time,
and all of the people some of the time,
but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time~~~

A new name should be added to a list of evil spirits invading American Native ceremonies.
A, Phony Guru, that runs a sweat ceremony is killing incident people.
Why else would this court case be lasting so long?
Guru's trial over Arizona sweat lodge deaths starts
This was on my Sunday, March 6, 2011 blog.
This is just one of many reasons why true Traditional American Native Elders keep our extremely sacred ceremony's a secret!
One thing would be that you must be a native elder with the knowledge.
Next at no time should a sacred ceremony have anything to do with war!
Every sacred ceremony is for cleaning, clearing of the mind and communion with Creator.
If one gets involved with something that is none of their business, one gets what one deserves!
While we are on the subject, we also have people stretching the truth just to get your money! ~~~SELL,~~~SELL,~~~SELL!
For those of you that are selling our Herbs as herbs for Shamanism ?

Native American gift protocol.

The correct way to gift an American Native is from your left hand to their left hand.

If the gift is words, then from your mouth with your left hand to the left shoulder of that person, which you should know is the closest to the heart.

If the gift is too big, then your left hand to your heart, straight out pointing at the gift or gifts.

It is very easy to spot a real Traditional Native American.

They are the ones constantly giving something away.

If you choose to gift a true American Native, and you do not want that person giving it away, do not give it to them.

As a young native a wise old native told me , " Once you give something to me, it is mine, you cannot tell me what to do with it".

"Once I give something to you it is yours, never ask if I want it back, now you go do the same".

If at any time an American Native is thought to have a religion, this would be it.

We believe that everything on Mother Earth is a free gift from Creator to all creatures, so if it is a free gift from Creator to all creatures, then it was predestined to be given away.

If Creator wishes you to have it, then it will be coming back.

POWWOW or PAW-PAUS?

OK
Thanks for reminding me to write about our Evil One!
What is this Powwow?
What is a Traditional American native paw~paus?
This depends, are you looking for a calendar of events, or the true meaning of these words?
In today's thinking a powwow is a place where Native Americans invite everyone to enjoy a day, a weekend, a week, or more in fun and games.
Let it be known that we have nothing against a religious belief in Witches, Warlocks or Shamanism, at their ceremonies.
Back before first contact, before the Europeans made it necessary for the people to change the gatherings of the people. American native people held gatherings called Paw-paus.
( Pa~~Wa~~us).
Soon after first contact and because the Europeans were starting to get extremely mean and pushy at wanting into this very spiritual event, the Sachem’s of the New England tribes came together to find a fast safe way out of this situation.
A quick note.
Long before this first contact our ancestors knew of an evil Shaman warlock/Witch that practice Shamanism. This Shaman warlock/witch name was called powwow and was extremely evil.
The Sachem’s of these true American native people placed the problem in the hands of their Tribal clan mothers ( Head Clan Mother).
After many debates about the problem the clan mothers came up with the name powwow and a great explanation as to why it should be used.
It would seem that our invaders acted very much like this Sharman so, why not start having a gathering like our paw-paus and invite them all?
(A dance with the Sharman (Evil one).
The problem in this day, that was unforeseen by our ancestors, is that now many of these powwows are infested with shamans, witches and warlocks, some now are even running this gathering!
This would be a very good reason to explain why no American Traditional Native advertises when and where we are holding our Paw-paus!
Be very afraid of the spirit man or woman powwow, in our Native American Gathering of the people!
The Evil spirit Trickster ( Coyote ) and his sub spirit will do anything a person allows them to do, to the take native prayers from them ( the people ) to Creator.

Native American Military ceremony.

Native Americans have been going to and coming home from wars for long before there was an America however, before first contact was a ceremony by my people. Receive a blessing upon leaving the village, first to make sure that they should be going to a war, if so asking Creators blessing on both sides of the conflict.
The head tribal mother ( Clan Mother) would assemble all of the women and children, form two lines for each warrior to pass between.
As the warrior passed they would throw herbs into the air over the warriors while in prayer to Creator for a safe return.
At the return from battle, a lookout ( always had an elder on lookout because the enemy could always circle back on that village) would send signals back to the village, the male elders would greet each warrior at the entrance of the village, while the head tribal women ( Clan Mother) once again assembled the women and children forming the two lines ready with the herbs and prayers.
After 1924, after being recognized as human and a citizens of this country, Native Americans have bravely served this land with true honor and deserve that recognition.

What is a Native American.

Happy Fathers day Dads.
What is an American Native, Indian, or Native American?
First we need to clear up just what is an Indian, Native, and America?
An Indian is anyone in or from India, period!
A Native is anyone born to a town, city, state or country.
A Native American is anyone born in America.
America is a continent, North and South.
What is our continent?
Our continent is the only one in question for this blog entry and is west of Europe and Africa and east of  Asia, south of the north pole and North of the South pole.
If you were born to this continent, you are a Native American.
An American native for the purpose of this blog  is anyone with an ancestor, white, red, yellow, black and anyone in between, that can be traced back to either the Vikings or west through  Alaska.
A native to America is anyone with ancestors back to the first family on the continent, North or South.
While growing up in and around Mohegan Village, for all but four years because, Uncle Sam said " We want you", everyone called me a Mohegan Indian, that is up until the area became the home of the casino Indians, now they call me a Native American.
So, for the purpose of this blog, call me an American Native or what a concept, call me Walkingfox.

A Native American (Indian) Soaugi (Funeral).

The true Traditional American native people around Uncasvillage New England were crossed ( sent to be with the ancestors and Creator).

From a time long before Sachem Unkas ( Uncas), Oweneco, Attawanhood, Ben Uncas, Mamohet, Mahachemo, Momauguin, Ansantawae, Tontonimo,

Shaumpishuh, Sunk squaw Sachem, Montowese, Ackenach, Pethus, Ahamo, Nassahegon, Cassisinamon, Wequash, Weraumaug, Catoonam until my father Sachem Zeak, American Native people were lovingly

prayer on their trip home, please do not let this sacred tradition pass away.

Only four pictures of the old Turtle hill village and Burial ground remains public after the home and office invasion while Sachem Zeak was hospitalized in 1986.

These photos have a signed and dates mark of proof of ownership on them.

Because of all that has happened to every Sacred Traditional American Native site of our past ancestors, we will never show directions to this the most important best used site known to my people, we have however, set up in a well for my head chief and head Tribal clan mother, all that is known of our true past including this alter/burial ground!

NORTH AMERICAN

WOODLAND BURIAL SOCIETY

The NAWBS is a grass-roots volunteer network comprising of individuals from all vocations, religious beliefs, and areas of the continent, who have the desire to further the dignified and loving practice of natural woodland burials.

Natural burials are common in many “third world” countries. Private organizations, churches, and the government in the U.K. are the world leaders among industrial nations in the ecologically sound woodland burial movement.

The U.S. Civil War resulted in a disastrous change of burial practices, laws, and an increasing stranglehold over burials brought by the commercial funeral industry. As a result of these changes the American society has become a victim of an uncaring system. In addition, those of religious beliefs such as Judaism and Islam who have specific burial requirements are often discriminated against by unnecessary laws and regulations.

The Society supports the rights of individuals to choose the method of burial for either themselves or their loved ones. The movement towards natural (“green”, “woodland”, “D.I.Y.”) burials is growing as people realize the personal, environmental, and economical benefits that are realized. It is the aim of the newly formed Society to provide a source of information and help in this process.

To be able to accomplish the aims and goals of the Society, we invite an open membership of anyone interested in "woodland" burials. The amount of involvement a member may wish to participate in one or more activities is up to each member.

Some of the major areas the Society can provide concentrated activisms in are:

a. provide information to the public and media on natural burials.

b. to inform local and state government authorities and elected officials about natural burials, and work to change any laws or regulations that may prevent citizens from exercising their choice of burial method.

c. to provide a referral point in each state for those seeking accurate information on natural burials.

d. to support and encourage the development and manufacture in the U.S. of burial products that are ecologically sound. This includes such items as shrouds, bio-degradable caskets, and similar items.

e. to provide a medium of contact and cooperation with funeral directors and other businesses involved in the funeral commerce.

f. to work towards helping establish natural burial reserves in all states, and establish a supportive working relationship with existing ones.

g. to work with local churches and religious leaders to gain support for natural burials and woodland burial reserves.

h. to work, and provide coordination, with "end-of-life" palliative care organizations to extend end of life care onto the dignified "last rites" of a natural burial.

The last of the Mohicans ( Mohegan's).

This is another question that keeps coming up in my tracked.
The Last of the Mohicans by James Fennimore Cooper, first published in February 1826.
Is a will written novel and a good fiction film 1992 about Indians.
Yes, it is true that Mr. Cooper is a relation.
Yes, it is true that Uncas is the first Sachem of our people and that Russell Means is a great warrior Native American however, it is also true that the book and the film take liberties with the past in order to make and sell the book and the movie.
Nothing wrong with that as long as it is understood that they are both only fictions for your enjoyment and that you remember that we are still very much a part of this land called, Mother Earth.
I did enjoy reading and then watching the Last of the Mohicans while knowing that they, the Mohicans as with our people are still around.
The story takes place in 1757, about the French and Indian War when France and Great Britain battled for control of the Colonies.
This story was built on some very close to the truth information about the knowledge of a scout during a war, a good scout could tell if a body had been moved, the principal character Uncas, after a well-known Mohegan sachem, allied with the English in 17th-century.
Mr. Cooper confuse and merge the names of the two tribes , Mohegan and Mohican in order to make for a good story.
The Mohican are in the Hudson River Valley , the Mohegan's left that area and live up and down the east coast.
Hawkeye (Daniel Day-Lewis) in this play is a European-born adopted son of the Mohican scout Chingachgook (Russell Means),

in this film, not true Mohegan's or Mohicans, wouldn't it be nice if the 1992 film or a newer movie used real Mohican/Mohegan people?

Who would want to take a few steps backwards from Sachem of the people, to just Uncas ?

Also, in that old film the other Indians look and act like Mohawks.
