Let us step away from politics

Let us step away from politics a moment, OK?
I have two subjects I need to write about if you will bear with me?
Today we talk ‘Spirits’ at least my knowledge about
‘Native American Spirits’ from in and around my people!

Blood Quota!

A (DNA TEST), cannot tell Native American Roots

 07/01/2016

Both of these questions come from direct Emails
and
answered in an Email, sometimes allowed
because they are embarrassing and personal to each person.
The 1st is
Blood Quota of the ‘First People’!
There are only two groups of people on ‘Mother Earth’ that are telling their people,
that they can no longer call themselves a member of their ‘Tribal- Ancestors’?
The 1st Email from a person in a tribe,
or was a tribe before first contact and now
almost completely eliminated
by this
‘Land of the Free'
'Country of the brave’!
And both are in the United States of America!
1st
This government!

Because government could find no way to pay their bill
to the first people without digging into the money they stole from the
'First People', or to creation 'clone indians'!

And
(Their pets) ‘Casino Indians’!

Clone indians, greedy, selfish, money hungry, and not willing to share
with their 'less advantaged brothers and sisters!
One can only hope that
some of my blood is now running around
in as many as possible of those
‘Lilly White Government Officials!
And
Because I know that some is in
Their ‘pets’ that are now condemning our ancestors from living on our Land!
I,
as you my friends know,
have
“Native Blood’ (Yes Mr. Lilly-White),
Native Blood.
I also have ‘Irish Blood’ of which
I am also very proud of!
Email is from a British/Narragansett young lady!
As you might also know?
Because of where the country of Ireland is,
I am also proud of any and all blood
traveling around in this old body from Ireland neighbors.
This government now needs to know,

I actually have four (4), ‘Gold Tear Drops
plus a number of

Red Ones
from giving blood, until my heart doctors said;
No More’!
One can only hope that
some of my many ancestors blood
 (both native and non-native),
is
running around in as many as possible of those
‘Lilly White Government Officials’
 now ruling over and condemning
our ‘non-white ancestors’ from living on our Land!

Prince Frederick, Maryland

Welcome to Prince Frederick, Maryland
To one of our sites/page about our ancestors ‘Gatherings’ today you might call them powwows?
I have absolutely no idea why or how you came to this site?
However; you are always welcome.
Fact for you if you did not already know, our ancestors did travel as far south as Delaware.
So I see no reason why we cannot believe that some could have crossed into Maryland.
I do remember a few elders from Delaware showing up at my grandfathers meetings and
(Objiasan Tah and I), did visit a few gatherings in Baltimore.
Remember, any questions, just ask.

Native American Wedding Ceremony (Traditional)

And Smudging page
In 1983 at one of your powwows, I help my father in a Wedding ceremony (Shechaim Ohjieshan Ziek).
I know that it was very cold however it did not seem to bother anyone attending, wish that I could remember names, I would love to know how they are doing today.
Yes; our people did travel that far, only this time it was a request from one of my father’s ‘Clan Mothers.’
Thank-you for your visit shocked this old warrior’s memory of some of the ‘good old days’.

To
Smudging the correct way
02/02/2011
This is one of many posting about our ceremony of smudging.
Your University sits within the land of our ancestors so
powwows, gatherings and/or Paw-paus would apply to tribes in your area,
or at least should?
If you have questions, I would be proud to answer even if the answer is
“I do not know let’s go check it out.”
Remember I am retired to Florida?

As always with visitors from a distance from state to state.
We remind our visitors of the many tribes over in Indian country (tribes west of the Mississippi river),
and our tribes over in the Native American area (tribes east of the Mississippi river).
Culture and ceremonies from tribe to tribe might differ at times?

Welcome Bridgeport Public Schools
I have a question for you
before I answer your question.
Why is there a fire in any circle at powwows?
Guess what.

of the native people around your area?

It is a good day when I open my tracker
to find any school system looking for
‘true information about
Indian and/or Native American Country culture/Ceremonies'.
However
Not to be too selfish,
it is a better day
when the question is about our people,
the first people of this land
(Native Americans).

NOW
For my question,
‘Fire in a circle?
If you check the internet,
there are thousands of posting about Indians
(Native to the Land),
some are even written by Native People!
The ancestors of the Native People around your state
(New England Area),
‘did not have a fire in a circle’
at their gatherings!
First
The Fire at our gatherings represents
(Creator)!
Creator is not on the land in question.
Although always watching,
Creator wants to be invited to join creations for a dance or two.
In the ‘Gathering of the people’ (Paw-paus), the fire was ‘always’ in the West, the opening to the circle is ‘always’ from the East.
One would go to the West, pray for a blessing and then go to the East.

If you wish more information?

Please just ask.

Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Welcome to our friends from Ocean Springs, Mississippi
To one of many of our posting about our
“Sacred Circle”
(Chachu)
Native American Gate keeper?
I have little to no knowledge about the ‘Native People’ of your city/state; however it does not matter for this post.

I only write, while writing about the Native Americans of by village (Uncasvillage) and about good and bad politics.
Your beliefs are your beliefs and therefore ‘good blessing from Creator’

As far as 'Traditional Native Americans' are concerned, 'Good Politicians' care for 'Creators creation',
'Bad Politicians only care about themselves'!
For, going on 78 years Creator blessed this old native with ancestors that lived their lives in praise and prayers to Creator for blessings from Creator.
I am now challenged to keep our ancestors teaching alive in print, no matter how poorly I do this!
So Thank-you for your visit my new friend!
This is one more posting.
Native American Gate keeper?
08/07/2012
This question has been coming up many times?
The words Gate keeper is an occult religious word used in Shamanism ceremonies.
These religious organizations worship another god, most have more than one god!
There was, is and should never be a "Gatekeeper" in a true traditional Eastern Woodland Native American Ceremony!
If this is what you are interested in then there are many websites and bloggers willing to help you in your quest.
However, if you are interested in an answer about a true traditional Eastern Woodland American Native ceremony, like our Gatherings, Paw-paus and Sacred Powwows, our people never use the words gate keeper!
This would be an insult to Creator!
The person at the East, the only place to enter and exit out gatherings, is a Spiritual leader or one of his or her students, there only to help you understand our ceremonies!

7 requests since the last posting

Please read some before you ask?

7 requests about the following subject since the last posting and counting?

I have few ‘followers’ less ‘likes’ and fewer, if any ‘comments’ and I know that it is because of the following type of postings.

However, my promise to Creator and my elders was to help keep the ancestor’s words, culture and ceremonies available to our people and anyone wishing to learn our ways while also helping to protect ‘Mother Earth.

I know and love the land of my people,

New England, among others.

All of my blogs, post and the website, because of this love reflects this love of my people, my ancestors and the land because Creator made it all.

Yes, of course I love other people and lands.

However, this is narrowed down because of constant requests from others?

Please at least read the titles of some of my posting before you request my following your site?

I love the New England and New York area,
from diaper to retirement I have traveled the area in question thousands of times for meeting, gatherings, Paw-paus and powwows.

I know the people who love the area
and
I know the people who are
(Tricksters and pretender, because of their greed ‘Selfish Greed’)!

Evil spirits Coyote, Trickster and Powwows

If you follow and/or like to (feel the bern), this is your right as a citizen of this country.

However, as long as I live I will not ‘like’ or ‘follow’ your site, this is my right as a citizen of this country!

If nothing else please read this post?
Because, before I follow your site, I will be seeing the sites that you follow, constantly checking back when necessary, and if you do not like anyone I might wonder why?

I will never forget  his animalistic activists each time my president passed by one of this cowards group and because he beat himself they joined (it), now in the White house, nor will I allow anyone else to forget.

Freedom, Maine

Welcome to Freedom, Maine

To two of our postings on two of our blogs about our people

The Moiigans (Maïngan – Yáw – Wolf-People).

This first posting is a copy of our original map of what the village of Uncasvillage looked like before first contact.

The Land of Sachem Uncas in the 1600's

The original is kept under lock because it is the only one in existence and really old!

And

A Google site for writing about our people.

Back in the 1940’s and 1950’s I remember traveling throughout the New England/New York areas with my elders, most of the cold weather gatherings, powwows and Paw-paus were held in Grange halls like your Dirigo Grange in Maine.

Up until the late 1980’s (Government Controlled Casino Indians), all Native American Tribes were recognized as “Real Live People” throughout the area!

I know that we travels all over your state.

However, I am not sure if we ever stopped at your Grange Hall?

If not it was our loss.

We were members of what we left of the Maïngan (13 Families), and traveled with elders from other tribes throughout the New England/New York area.

Welcome to the visitor from Kooskia, Idaho
to a few of our postings
about our Smudging Ceremonies.

And

However, this site was using these three to make a point.

As you have seen while reading this site we use smudging in at least two of our ceremonies (pow-wow and Pau-paus).

These two sites might be helpful?

and

Speaking of
‘Making a Point.’

I happened across a discrepancy on a site West of the Mississippi river about Indian Country in your area while looking for your town, that you might wish to check into someday?

Maybe not, because this person or persons is just trying to sell you a book!

By our count there were toughly 500,000 tribes on our land.
Native American Country (Mother Earth),  and roughly half of them were East of the Mississippi river.

Native American Day

This Friday is Native American Day.
For some it is just a day off from school or work.

For others it is just another,
but for a large population that lives very near here
this day is their day to be recognized.

There will be powwows, gatherings and celebrations filled with dancers, feathers, salmon and dried meats.

For the most part, most of us won’t even notice;

but for our neighbors, it is a day for them to embrace their heritage and traditions and try and teach us a little bit about their true ancestry.

So one this day,
I, a non-native,
will celebrate their accomplishments and their peoples’ past.

We all should, and should embrace what they have to offer us.

We should take a proper look at history and remember it for what it is and what has happened.

We don’t have to be proud of that past but we must recognize it not just on this day, but every day.

Our Native American Day
Over on the east coast
is
(Thursday, November 24), this year.

WHAT IS NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING?

An annual tradition since 1970,
Day of Mourning is a solemn, spiritual and highly political day.
Many of us fast from sundown the day before
through the afternoon of that day

(and have a social after Day of Mourning so that participants in DOM can break their fasts).

We are mourning our ancestors and the genocide of our peoples and the theft of our lands. NDOM is a day when we mourn, but we also feel our strength in political action.

Over the years, participants in Day of Mourning have buried Plymouth Rock a number of times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Day_of_Mourning_(United_States_protest)

Who is a Native American Gate Keeper

I understand your confusion my friend!

Who is a Native American Gate Keeper?

It must once again be time for Snowbirds coming south for retirement?

This word (Gatekeeper) comes up many times so this time I will answer in my usual long winded posting?

Every once in a while I get questions this time of the year like this one.

Always remember that there was, is and will never be a Gatekeeper in a true traditional "Eastern Woodland" Native American Ceremony.

Today we have Arena directors?
Gatekeepers ?
and so on
in powwows in and around the east-coast?

In our ancestors time on Mother Earth in the New England Area, the leader was known as the Shechaim newer name (Sachem).

However, from the beginning this leader has always placed a

"Head Clan Mother"

in charge of tribal matters with discretion of course.

This Head Clan Mother often split the tribe into clans with at least one of her clan mothers at the head of that clan, depending on how large the tribe was?

In each clan would be a military person (Warrior), this person was always in charge of the entrance in the east of a circle,

and the west at Creators seat, (another posting)?

The word (Gatekeeper) is an occult word that came into far too many native tribes in the last 30 or so years.

The word Arena Director came in from rodeos, caravels and circus?

In the ancestors days on Mother Earth gathering were called Paw-Paus.

Followed by a word change to protect the Sacred Culture, of Pow-Wow.

A Warrior (Head Veteran) would be at the door of gathering inside an enclosure and in the east at Paw-paus and powwows.

An Elder Head Veteran is the person or persons that would stand guard at the opening of the village while warriors were away hunting of in battles.

The Head Veterans job is to, with the help from the Fire keeper and assistant, smudge, in the northeast with Kinnick-Kinnick, in the east coast areas, sage, herbs and sweet grass including Kinnick-Kinnick.

Next would be to lineup the Sacred Staff, flags and the dancers.

When all this is complete signal the MC to start Grand Entry.

A Head Veteran should not leave sight of the east incase dancers have questions without a back up like for instance the Fire keeper.

In a true traditional gathering, powwow, (Paw-paus), both must also keep the smudging, cleaning, clearing and the fire ongoing in the west.
